"In the almost four years since I started at Plan, it has never felt like a particularly welcoming place to be Jewish. The DE&I agenda has never included us. The Jewish equivalent of the 'Stepin Fetchit' routine that was done at the virtual Christmas party in the winter of 2020 made me cry. It saddened me that the corrected list of Jewish holidays that I shared with the DE&I committee, subsequent to the truncated one that Plan had included in its religious observances page three years ago, was ignored. The systematic whitewashing of Jews has been an ongoing pain point since I joined the organisation."
